Eurex has got "very close" to finalising products for
exchange traded credit futures after looking at the asset class
for some time, according to Ralf Dreyer, head of product design
for equity derivatives at the exchange.
Speaking at the recent FOW derivatives and securities forum
in Amsterdam, Dreyer highlighted the regulatory environment
surrounding credit derivatives as to why it was the "right
time" to launch standardised credit products. He added that the
products would be index-based.
