Serious concerns over the viability of New Mercantile
Exchange (Nymex)'s new electronic trading platform has spurred
talks with Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) to list Nymex
products on the latter exchange's Globex system outside pit
trading hours, FO Week has learned.
Sources said Nymex and CME officials met recently to discuss
a deal whereby Nymex would continue to list the E-Miny energy
contracts on Globex, as well as adding other Nymex contracts
that have previously been traded in off pit hours on Nymex's
