Industry observers said they expect warrant issuers to
scramble into Korea when the country's warrants market is
launched, possibly as early as November 2005.
An official at Korea Exchange (KRX) told FO Week
that the exchange was seeking regulatory approval to establish
a warrants market. KRX's futures and options division already
runs the world's most actively traded index options contract,
the Kospi, so expectations were high that a warrants market
would also mushroom.
