Goldenberg Hehmeyer (GHCO), a Chicago based FCM focusing on
electronic proprietary trading services, will shortly begin
trading on Tokyo Commodity Exchange (Tocom) under a joint
venture with Japan's Nihon Unicom, sources told FO
Week. Details were expected to be announced shortly after
FO Week went to press.
First announced in October 2004, the 50/50 joint venture,
tentatively named Goldenberg Hehmeyer Unicom Japan (GHUJ),
follows other proprietary trading operations being established
elsewhere in Asia, including Singapore and India (see FO
Week Vol 10 No 23).
