Trading Technologies (TT) has taken its fight against patent
infringement to a new level by suing Refco, one of the world's
top ten FCMs, for patent infringement.
The case, filed in the Northern Illinois District Court late
on Wednesday, cites Refco as being in infringement of TT's 304
and 132 patents, both titled "Click Based Trading With
Intuitive Grid Display of Market Depth". It states that Refco
continues to infringe both patents by "making, using, selling
and/or offering for sale products and methods covered by
claims" of the patents without TT's authorisation.
It claims that Refco's "willful [sic] and deliberate"
infringement "has caused irreparable harm" to TT.
