Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Clearing has established
an infrastructure for the lodging of shares as margin
collateral for derivatives trading on Bursa Malaysia
Derivatives, taking effect from 28 January.
Kansas City Board of Trade set an all-time record
for the sale of a Class A or full membership on 31
January, with JP Morgan Futures' purchase of two
memberships at $150,000 each.
The Sugar No 11 futures contract market at New York
Board of Trade set a daily trading record on 26 January, with
143,548 contracts changing hands. The previous
record was 136,492 contracts, established on 26 March last
year. On the same day, the market also set an open interest
record of 411,726 Sugar No 11 futures contracts, replacing the
previous high of 369,790 contracts set on 3 January.
New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) announced that
a record 162,403 off-exchange contracts were cleared through
Nymex ClearPort on 25 January, exceeding the previous
record of 147,153 contracts traded on 4 November last year.
