Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) is set to launch its new floor
technology initiative, called Denali, on 18 January. The
initiative is designed to automate much of the floor trading
execution, settlement and back office processes for agriculture
While handheld technology has been available at other
exchanges in various forms, CBoT officials say this is the
first time handhelds have been integrated fully with clearing
and settlement for commodities trading.
While some in the industry have called for an end to floor
trading of ag futures, especially given the success of eCBoT,
