Motion sees documents taken off restricted list
Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) and Chicago Mercantile
Exchange (CME) filed a joint motion to remove documents
pertaining to Trading Technologies (TT)'s patent infringement
lawsuit against Espeed from a restricted designation. The
motion was subsequently granted by Northern Illinois District
The motion, filed late last month and released on 3 January,
argued that "Well-established First Amendment and common law
principles? clearly support [the exchanges'] request for access
to documents and pleadings filed as 'restricted'."
