LCH Clearnet (LCH-C)'s annual results, to June 2004, showed
a slight fall in profits, mainly as a result of the ongoing
costs of integrating the merged firms. However, the group also
saw an increase in income from clearing fees that was nearly
sufficient to offset the cost hike. Before tax earnings fell
from €50.2m to €49m for the full year.
