Eurex is preparing for further skirmishes with its US
rivals, following additions to its antitrust lawsuit and a
request for regulatory action on its proposed transatlantic
Eurex decided against filing a separate suit against Chicago
Board of Trade (CBoT) over what it describes as "predatory
price cuts". That suit would have sought to compel CBoT to
return its prices to December 2003 levels, but Eurex said it
did not want "to impact our mutual customers and future
customers of Eurex US and thus put our successful sales efforts
over the last years in jeopardy".
