CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE), which is set to launch on
Friday with one volatility index futures product, announced
plans to add two more volatility-based contracts in the second
CFE will list two so-called variance futures, which are
contracts based on realised volatility of the S&P 500 index
and aimed at institutional users. The exchange will list
S&P 500 one-month and three-month variance futures. The new
contracts will compliment the CBOE volatility index
futures, which also is based on S&P 500
