Struggling to attract volume to its US venture, Eurex
enjoyed more familiar growth at home, with 81m contracts traded
in February on its European exchange, representing year-on-year
growth of around 10%. Schatz products, at the centre of the
so-called 'flipper' row, recorded the strongest year-on-year
growth of the exchange's capital market products, up by around
26% to total 10m contracts. Eurex continued to make a push into
the Dutch equity derivatives market, with 707,000 contracts
traded in February, which it said represented an 11% market
