Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) has returned about
half its surplus capital to shareholders via a special dividend
worth HK$1.76 billion.
The development suggests the exchange is not seeking major
acquisitions and follows similar moves by Singapore Exchange,
which also returned its capital last year.
