Separate problems with operating software forced both
Euronext Liffe and New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) to
suspend trading for periods recently. In Nymex's case, the
problem was sufficient to necessitate a delay in the launch of
additional gold and silver options contracts up to 60 months
forward, originally scheduled for 25 February.
