FfastFill has announced a new customer for its
recently launch FfastServe fully managed ASP service, following
an agreement with DRW Capital Markets UK, the new UK business
unit of the proprietary trading firm set up in Chicago in 1992
by Donald R Wilson. The UK business is run by one Chris Stone,
who used to be chief executive officer of, wait for it,

FOW's evening event last week, Electronic Trading -
the truth behind the costs, attracted a good audience and an
excellent list of speakers. Bob Ray, senior vp of business
development for Chicago Board of Trade put up a brave fight
against something of a barrage of questions and observations
from the floor about the exchange's stance on electronic
trading. As if that were not enough, his fellow panelists
joined in. Sonny Schneider of STA Ltd put it to Ray that, if
CBoT was as proactive and innovative as he suggested, why did
it take the threat of competition from Eurex for the exchange
to come up with its recent developments? To which Ray responded
with a firm and fatherly, "Now look here Sonny." He then
described the process of switching from Ace and BoTCC as a
garage sale. "We put out Aunt Em's rocking chair, Uncle Fred's
old slippers and Ace and BoTCC," he quipped.
