Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Mercantile Exchange will
launch a new electronic delivery system (EDS) when their
clearing link becomes operational on 24 November, designed to
streamline the physical delivery procedures for futures
contracts held at both exchanges.
The exchanges said the EDS would "significantly speed the
invoicing process for CBoT and CME clearing firms." CME
chairman Terry Duffy said the new system had been tested by a
small group of firms in September, and was made available to
all firms on a test basis in October.
