ADM Investor Services has opened a London dealing room which
it hopes will provide a home for International Petroleum
Exchange (IPE) traders when electronic trading takes over from
Based in the City, Xconnect has 65 trader workstations, with
an option to expand to a further 90 in the same building.
The operation is being run by Paul White, who also heads
ADM's energy desk. White told FO Week that the dealing
room would be populated by a mix of self-funded professional
traders and ADM-backed trainees, as well as providing space for
broking clients. Additionally, he hopes to provide the venue of
choice for IPE locals looking to make the switch to screen
