Cargill Investor Services (CIS) has begun offering
securities services via its Strategic Investment Group (SIG),
headed by new ceo Les Allan, who joined the company earlier
this year from Lehman Brothers, where he had been md of equity
hedge fund sales.
SIG has been set up to provide a multi-asset class
capability to hedge funds and institutional clients. At the
time of Allan's appointment, CIS chairman James Davison said he
and his Lehman team were "the best possible demonstration to
the market of how serious we are about offering this type of
