Scheisse hits fan
Suspicion that something big was afoot was aroused
last week when Eurex failed to supply a speaker for their
scheduled appearance at the FOW event in Madrid. "All their
English-speaking staff are in Washington," quipped CME's Mark
Blundell from the podium. When it emerged later that CFTC had
taken Eurex off its fast-track approval process, it became
clear that the exchange's officials certainly did have some big
fish to fry. If confirmation were needed, then news of the
anti-trust suit provided it in bucket loads.
