The use of derivatives by US commercial banks increased over
the second quarter. According to the latest Banks Derivatives
Report from Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC),
trading saw a growth of $4.4 trillion to $65.8tr. The period
also saw the number of commercial banks holding derivatives
increase by 42, to 530.
