Tokyo Commodity Exchange (Tocom) launched a gas oil futures
contract on 8 September, which saw 76,500 lots traded on day
The contract is the exchange's fourth energy product,
following gasoline, kerosene and Middle East crude futures. Gas
oil is used mainly as a fuel for diesel-engine heavy vehicles
and construction machinery.
