Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing (HKEx) is committed to it's
derivatives business, chief executive Paul Chow said last
Chow, who came from a securities background to take over the
reigns of the exchange, has instituted cost-cutting measures
which many believed would lead to a scaling back of derivatives
activity. A number of derivatives staff, including chief
operating officer Fred Grede, have left the exchange since
Chow's appointment in April.
