Following weeks of speculation, Fred Grede, coo and head of
futures at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx), is to leave
the exchange next month when his contract expires. He will be
returning to the US, after three and a half years in Hong Kong.
Patrick Conroy, a director of the World Bank, has been
appointed to replace Grede. The move signals an anticipated
change in direction at the exchange, following the appointment
