Jimmy Ho, HKEx's head of corporate strategy, left the
exchange last week while rumours continued to circulate about
the imminent departure of coo Frederick Grede and head of
clearing Walter Reisch.
Grede and Reisch are reportedly to lose their jobs under
cost cutting plans introduced by the exchange's new ceo Paul
Deputy head of clearing Bryan Chan will also depart while
Grede, who oversees the futures exchange, will not be replaced
due to overlapping job duties with other executives, according
to the Chinese language newspaper, Hong Kong Economic Times,
citing unidentified sources. A HKEx spokesman declined to
comment to FO Week.
