Clearing continues to dominate headlines, whether it is the
deal between Eurex and Board of Trade Clearing Corporation
(possibly the worst kept secret in recent years) or the
announcement, expected as we went to press, that New York
Mercantile Exchange has finally got round to merging its
clearing house with that of its Comex division (after nine
years of negotiation).
