Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) and Shanghai Futures
Exchange (SHFE) are to jointly explore the possibility of
developing an Asian energy derivatives market.
The two exchanges have signed a memorandum of understanding
and said they will consider establishing and operating a joint
venture offering a series of benchmark energy derivative
products designed to serve both Chinese and international
investors under a single market.
