Turkdex, the Turkish derivatives exchange, will launch with
an initial suite of six commodity and financial futures
Izmir-based Turkdex is a joint venture between banks and
financial associations in Turkey, including Istanbul Stock
Exchange (ISE), and is scheduled to start trading at the end of
The initial contracts will be soft wheat, Turkish cotton, US
dollar/Turkish lira; euro/Turkish lira, ISE 30 equity index
futures and an interest rate product, likely to be based on
180-day treasury bills.
