Move on up
Having gone to press before Eurex's Late Night party
at Boca Raton, we were unable to bring you news of the
much-anticipated event. Well, the Funk Brothers, Motown's house
band, were a treat, succeeding in bringing many delegates on to
the dance floor. And the vocals for the second half set were
provided by the curvaceous Chaka Khan - who put on a
professional, if somewhat lacklustre, performance (according to
some). But the real star of the show was none other than Eurex
supremo himself, Rudi Ferscha. Not only is he in charge of the
largest exchange in the world, multi-lingual and well-read, but
the renaissance man is also a dab hand at the keyboards. He
left the audience suitably impressed at his, occasionally
one-handed, musical prowess as he opened the second set with a
funky accompaniment that even Stevie Wonder would have been
proud of. Roll over Beethoven, as they say.
